Before your friends start the tour of Caracas, they think it would be a good idea to give you some general
information about their country. One thing they want you to know is that Simon Bolivar, El Libertador,
was born in Caracas. Who was this great man, and what was his dream for South America? Another
thing your friends are very proud of is their country's La Guayana region, home of many protected natural areas. Did you know that the highest free-fall waterfall in the world is in Venezuela? These caraqueños are very informative, aren't they? Now, visit the sites that might interest you with two partners. In Spanish, the three of you could converse as follows:
Caraqueño #1: Vale, vas a ver que nuestro país es bellísimo. No te lo digo porque yo soy venezolano, te lo digo porque es la verdad.
Tú: Pues, si tú me lo dices, yo te lo creo... vale.
Caraqueño #2: ¿Por dónde quieres empezar a conocernos mejor?
Tú: Empecemos con un poco de información general. Vamos a ver este sitio:

An everyday reality in Venezuela is trying to balance the country's petrochemical industry with a strong concern in maintining the land's natural beauty. Caracas, the capital, is a city that grew to its present size during the 1970s boom in oil prices. As most large cities, it has pollution and excess population problems. Many Venezuelans can remember the past of unspoiled land and that is why they fight to conserve their country's remaining wilderness regions. Visit the sites for the different regions of Venezuela and explore the wildlife, the rivers, the waterfalls. Immerse yourself in nature!
Where would you go if you wanted to see Salto Ángel? Who is this waterfall named after? To which National Park would you go to if you wanted to catch a glimpe of the great Andean condor? or the peak of Pico Naiguata? Surf and find answers!
