¡Conoce Madrid!

Your plane just landed at Barajas International Airport in Madrid, Spain. You and some friends will spend a couple of weeks in this great city. The only problem is that you don't know much about Madrid. With two classmates, browse the following Web sites and gather information about the places that you and your friends might be interested in visiting during your stay. Converse with your classmates as follows:

Amigo/a #2: Yo estoy cansado/a y quiero descansar.

Amigo/a #2: Es verdad. Vamos a ver este sitio:

Now click on Sol. You are standing at Puerta del Sol, the heart of Madrid's downtown. For a detailed map of that zone, click on E9-H12 on the map to the right. Now you really are en el centro de la ciudad. Since you and your friends want to visit the Buen Retiro Park, click on city center and find out how to get to the park. What is the name of the street that could take you there if you walked east on a diagonal? You can click on Salamanca and then on Retiro to read the information about the park. Converse with your classmates as follows:

¡Vamos!
